Information on Infracont operation during the virus pandemic

Infracont Instruments has implemented changes in it’s operations in order to ensure the safety of our colleagues, customers and partners.

1. Presence at site

We have reduced the physical presence of the employees at our premises: most colleagues work in home office. For the employees, whose on-site presence is inevitable, sufficient space is available at our premises for secure separation. This ensures the continuous capability of deliveries and service activities.

Our customer service is constantly working as well: our colleagues are available via phone and all electronic channels. Customer and partner reception in the office is paused until the end of the pandemic.

2. Orders

Infracont takes orders as per our normal procedure. In order to maintain our financial stability and liquidity during the pandemic, we don’t keep instruments on stock, we produce only to orders, which leads to longer delivery times. For this reason, we kindly ask all our customers who plan to buy a new instrument for the harvest season to place orders well in advance.

Crops will be harvested this year as well, the crops have to be qualified, so pleasedon’t postpone your purchase for the next year.

3. Local installations

Local installations are suspended until mid-April. We’ll reassess the situation in mid-April and inform our customers and partners about the changes (if any).

4. Supply chain/production

Fortunately, the pandemic did not cause any disruption in our supply chain and production and we hope that it will remain so. The required production capacity is available so – according to our current knowledge – the production will be continuous.

5. Instrument service

Our instrument service is available, however, local on-site services are suspended. We do service only at our premises and at that of our service partners, so instruments have to be shipped to our site or the site our partners for service. Remote service through the internet, we well as remote customer support are available on phone or all our electronic channels.

Key message: Infracont is operating continuously, but we kindly ask our customers and partners to place orders for service and/or new instruments well in advance, earlier than usual.
